Confirmation gives Jenny Yang the impetus to move forward with her agenda at OFCCP
On March 22, 2021 the U.S. Senate confirmed Marty Walsh as the new Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). His confirmation will give Jenny Yang, new OFCCP Director, the impetus to push forward her agenda. Director Yang confirmed, in an interview with Bloomberg News, that OFCCP’s top priority is pay equity. She also mentioned that she disagrees with the Administrative Law Judge’s decision in the Oracle pay discrimination case relating to the pay equity analysis methodology. She also acknowledged in the interview that she has moved forward with AAP verification and cancelled all the previously scheduled focused reviews. On the OFCCP website, the AAP verification interface appears to still be in the design phase with a “coming soon” note.
