The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has recently announced a tentative opening for the 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection. The new timeframe is set for the Fall of 2023 per EEOC’s announcement. This new timeframe is yet another change from the mid-July date announced in February 2023, and the original expected date of April 2023.
The EEOC has attributed the delays to the mandatory three-year renewal of the EEO-1 Component 1 data collection by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA). Additionally, the Message Center, which was previously assisting users, is temporarily unable to accept requests. However, it will soon resume its regular operations just in time for the commencement of the 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection. To stay informed about any further updates, including the final opening date, subscribe to OutSolve's blog or visit www.eeocdata.org/eeo1.
