Contractors Must Certify - OFCCP Opens Technical Help Desk to Assist Contractors

By Alex Gonzalez - Jul 29, 2022 4:17:17 PM - 2 MINS READ

OFCCP says contractors who fail to certify are more likely to appear on OFCCP’s scheduling list

Even though the OFCCP has not extended the AAP compliance certification, they will consider those contractors that requested assistance on or before June 30, 2022, who have not yet completed their registration and certification. The Contractor Portal Technical Help Desk is now addressing open tickets. The Portal Help Desk will remain open and available to aid and answer questions.

Contractors who have not yet registered or certified their compliance with AAP obligations and have not reached out to the OFCCP for assistance prior to June 30, must immediately do so. According to the OFCCP, “Contractors that have not certified will be more likely to appear on OFCCP’s scheduling list than those that have certified their compliance with AAP requirements. Contractors that have not certified compliance include those that have not utilized the Portal to certify whether they are meeting their AAP requirements, as well as those contractors that have certified they have not developed or maintained an AAP.” Additionally, a list of those contractors that have not certified their compliance by September 1 will be sent to federal agency contracting officers. Contracting officers at the agency where the contract was initiated will assist OFCCP in ensuring that all federal contractors become compliant.

Contractors needing assistance with technical issues may submit an inquiry to the OFCCP Contractor Portal Technical Help Desk. OutSolve is also available to assist Contractors with registration and certification.

OutSolve’s Take

We continue to stress the importance for federal contractors, that have yet to certify, to act immediately to avoid the risk of non-compliance. Failure to certify could lead to the scheduling of a compliance evaluation and may put your company on the radar of your federal contracting agency who may contact you regarding your non-compliance, on behalf of the OFCCP.

OutSolve offers services to assist contractors with registering for the Contractor Portal and verifying affirmative action plan(s). For more information, please contact OutSolve at info@outsolve.com or 888.414.2410.
