Settlement to resolve alleged hiring discrimination
During a compliance review, OFCCP alleged that Rolls-Royce North America Holdings Inc., headquartered in Reston, Virginia, discriminated against 26 female applicants who applied for a position as a CNC Machine Operator II-Turbine from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. In signing the Early Resolution Conciliation Agreement, Rolls-Royce has agreed to pay $135,000 in back wages and interest to the females not selected for the machine operator positions at their manufacturing facility in Prince George, Virginia. The company will also provide job opportunities to four of the affected female applicants. Rolls-Royce will be exempt from future OFCCP evaluations for five years.
Rolls-Royce holds federal contracts with the Navy, FAA, Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, NASA and the Army.
