Contractors may still call OFCCP’s toll-free help line or ask a question through the help desk online
OFCCP announced that it will be discontinuing the use of the Contractor Assistance Portal as of today, March 1, 2021. OFCCP claims that the move is to “improve efficiency and better integrate compliance assistance efforts.” OFCCP will continue to provide compliance assistance tools, including the following:
- Compliance Assistance Guides
- FAQs
- Contractor Compliance Institute (CCI) – provides webinars and training.
Contractors may contact OFCCP with questions using its toll-free help line at 1-800-397-6251 (TTY 1-877-889-5627) and utilize the help desk to ask questions on-line.
OutSolve's Insight
This closure says a lot about the posture we could expect going forward from the agency. While access to the resources named above continue, this gives the impression of a shift away from the previous Director’s attitude towards working with the contractor community. While it may be a distinction without a difference, the optics are not especially good. However, clients can continue to leverage and benefit from OutSolve’s in-depth compliance services to assist them with their compliance needs.
