Director Craig Leen to be nominated to serve as OPM Inspector General and Patricia J. Davison to be appointed as new Deputy Director
On February 3, 2020, President Trump announced his plan to nominate Craig Leen, OFCCP Director, to serve as the Inspector General at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) pending Senate approval. This placement will fill the slot that has been vacant since Patrick McFarland retired in February.
Under Leen's leadership, the agency has obtained record-breaking monetary recoveries, and has implemented numerous initiatives which target transparency, efficiency, and recognition. These efforts have led to improved relationships with the agency and with contractors.
If the placement is confirmed, it is unlikely that the OFCCP Director position will be filled prior to the presidential election in November.
OFCCP now has two Deputy Directors. On July 26, 2019, Bob Gaglione filled the first Assistant Director position. Now, Patricia J. Davison fills the second slot. She has had a career with the Wage and Hour Division (WHD) since she graduated from the University of Dallas in 1987. She started with the WHD working as an investigator in Dallas, TX. In 2010, she then moved to the National office as the Director of the Division of Enforcing Strategy and Support.
