EEOC Names Martin Ebel Director of Field Programs | OutSolve Blog

Ebel replaces Nicholas Inzeo who is retiring after being in the position for 17 years

Effective, October 1, 2020, Martin Ebel will take over the position of EEOC’s Director of Field Programs which is responsible for the daily operations of all 53 EEOC field offices. Ebel will be replacing Nicholas Inzeo, who has been in the position for 17 years and will be retiring on September 30, 2020.

Ebel has worked at the EEOC since 2010 in several key positions, including his current position of EEOC’s chief operating officer. Prior to that, he was the deputy, and then acting director of the Houston District Office, and the director of Field Management Programs at the national office where he oversaw the agency’s investigative and enforcement functions. Before coming to EEOC, Ebel was general counsel, and then commissioner, of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD). Ebel earned his B.S. from Oakland University’s School of Business in Michigan. He also earned his J.D. at Boston College Law School, where is received the St. Thomas More Award, the school’s highest honor.

According to EEOC Chair Janel Dhillon, “Marty’s long history of service in several key roles at the EEOC and his outstanding record of leadership make him well suited for this position. The public will be well served as a result of his management experience and extensive knowledge of the EEOC.”
