The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has unveiled a suite of new resources aimed at fostering understanding and compliance with the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). VEVRAA mandates federal contractors and subcontractors refrain from discriminatory employment practices against veterans and take proactive steps to ensure equal employment opportunities for protected veterans.

The recently released resources encompass informative videos stressing the significance of self-identification and delineating which veterans are shielded by VEVRAA. Additionally, the OFCCP has introduced updated Promising Practices and augmented its Frequently Asked Questions section with fresh guidance to aid employers in adhering to VEVRAA requirements. These resources are conveniently accessible through the new VEVRAA resources page on the OFCCP website.

Accompanying these resources are existing materials offering insights into VEVRAA regulations, as well as resources tailored for veterans to understand their workplace rights and for employers to follow their obligations under VEVRAA.

The newly released resources provide government contractors with essential clarity, guidance, and practical tools to comply with VEVRAA requirements. These resources also promote self-identification among veterans and offer valuable insights from Promising Practices, enabling contractors to adopt effective strategies and initiatives for VEVRAA compliance within their organizations.
